TechCrunch overtook Contentful’s CEO, Steve Sloan (previously of Twilio and Bessemer), and its comms connect, Brian Spittler (formerly of Podium), to dig more into its items. Contentful, formerly known as a UI-free content management system (headless CMS), now views itself in a more comprehensive light. Sloan discussed Contentful by analogy, stating that as Twilio served the communications market and Stripe the payments space, Contentful wants to handle the world’s digital material. In more useful terms, Contentful doesn’t want to assist business develop apps. You can now much better understand the decently aspirational Stripe and Twilio contrast; Contentful wants to take a piece of a designer’s workload, in this case providing digital material to controlled applications, abstract it and deliver the functionality as an API. Contentful’s CEO declined to share basically anything worrying its organization development, aside from that when Contentful raised its Series E it was around an “inflection point” for the business….

Vercel, the business behind the popular open-source Next.js React framework, today revealed that it has raised a $102 million Series C financing round led by Bedrock Capital. Existing financiers Accel, CRV, Geodesic Capital, Greenoaks Capital and GV also participated in this round, together with new investors 8VC, Flex Capital, GGV, Latacora, Salesforce Ventures and Tiger […] As Vercel notes, the company saw strong growth in recent months, with traffic to all sites and apps on its network doubling considering that October 2020.
