Is Zoom the next Android or the next BlackBerry?
As someone who was at both BlackBerry and Android during their prime times, my biggest learning takeaway is that item experience trumps whatever else. Is Zoom the next Android or the next BlackBerry? As Zooming into a video conference or a class is today, so too was pulling out your BlackBerry to fire off an e-mail or examine your stocks circa 2002. As somebody who was at both BlackBerry and Android throughout their prime times, my biggest takeaway is that product experience defeats whatever else. When the iPhone was launched, numerous people within BlackBerry appropriately pointed out that we had a technical leg up on Apple in numerous locations crucial to service and enterprise users (not to mention the physical keyboard for rapidly cranking out emails)… but how much did that advantage matter in the end? …
