Vectorized announces $15.5 M investment to build easier streaming information tool

He says that the key to developer adoption is making the product complimentary through open source, and having Kafka compatibility so that designers do not feel like they have to simply discard existing jobs and begin from scratch. While the company is introducing with an open source tool, it prepares to use the funding to construct a hosted version of Redpanda to put it within reach of more companies.
