Treet, a company rethinking the resale retail market, announced the close of a $2.8 million seed round today. Essentially, Treet assists brand names set up their own resale sites where buyers and sellers can note and find items. Brands are best placed to understand who has their products, and can send out e-mails and messaging motivating resale through Treet. If they choose money, a ten percent cut goes to the brand and a 10 percent cut goes to Treet.
