On the heels of a dynamic discussion with Precursor Ventures partner Charles Hudson last week, we’re getting ready to talk with Kapor Capital’s Freada Kapor Klein and Mitch Kapor in a couple of hours. Today at 10 a.m. PT, Bonus Crunch Live returns for a conversation about preserving variety, addition and equity throughout a global pandemic.
You can strike up the Zoom details below to sign up with the call directly (and ask your own concerns), or simply relax and enjoy the live streaming version on YouTube.
Kapor Klein has been a longtime supporter for diversity and addition in the tech industry. The author of “Providing Notice,” a book about the risks of hidden predispositions, she is a founding partner at Kapor Capital, co-chair at the Kapor Center for Social Effect and co-founding member of Task Include.
Kapor, co-founder of The Electronic Frontier Foundation and founding chair of Mozilla, has dealt with Kapor Klein for the last 10-plus years at Kapor Capital. Together, they purchase start-ups concentrated on closing access gaps and addressing social oppression.
During today’s call, we’ll explore the topics of layoffs, executive pay cuts, decision-making around stopping or continuing operations in underserved neighborhoods, H-1B visas and more.
Beyond that, Mitch and Freada will talk about how they’re advising their portfolio start-ups throughout these unprecedented times, in addition to what areas are asking for development today.
During the call, audience members will be able to ask concerns, but to join the conversation, you’ll require to be an Extra Crunch member– if you’re not currently a customer, please register here.
