Taiwan is understood for being a tech powerhouse, the headquarter of companies like Foxconn, Pegatron, TSMC, Acer and Asus. However while Taiwan’s tech industry is specified by well-established gamers, it is also house to a growing start-up scene. Ahead of the main start of CES, the Taiwan Excellence awards were announced by non-profit trade promo group Taiwan External Trade Development Council (referred to as TAITRA) and ShowStoppers, offering a preview of what its start-ups offer. Awards went to seven start-ups, while eleven other business also presented. They cover a wide variety of sectors, varying from fitness and health to commercial tracking.
More startups will showcase their tech next week at CES’ Taiwan Structure, organized by Taiwan Tech Arena.

Dyaco’s exercise equipment line, called SOLE Physical fitness, includes its brand-new SOLE CC81 Cardio Climber, which combines features from steppers and climbers into one device. The SOLE CC81 is designed to be ergonomic, so users can get high-intensity cardio exercises while lowering wear on their joints.
Green Coat Sports is showcasing its Golface clever system, which assists golf courses keep an eye on and gather data on their operations in real-time, while permitting golf enthusiasts to track their performance. The smart system’s other functions consist of includes aerial videos and real-time scoring functions. Maktar is the maker of a smart device backup gadget called Qubii
sensor and an all-glass lens, and produces wide-angle videos with quality of as much as 2.8 K.
